Upcoming After-school/Holiday Courses
2024 November - Programming & Electronics Level 1
Open for Year 6 students
Join Tristan, Sam and Jonathan for an exciting adventure into the wonderful world of programming and electronics.
This is an entry level course, meaning no prior knowledge of programming or electronics is required, though is recommended for students with an interest maths.
Our previous courses have been run at Kaurilands and Titirangi Primary schools.
After the final session, we invite the families of the students to join us for certificate presentation and a BBQ dinner.
What you will Learn and Make
Learn the fundamental skills of programming in the industry standard C++ language, using the extremely popular Arduino microcontroller chip. By the end of the course, students will have completed projects that they can use in their own home such as an ultrasonic range finder with a dynamic OLED display.
Your Personal Electronics Kit
All students receive their own comprehensive electronics kit and programmable microcontroller. The kit includes dozens of sensors and components that can be used for a multitude of applications. This comes in a portable carry case which is theirs to keep. Laptops are provided for use in class and instructions will be provided for setup on a home computer.
We are only offering 6 places so please apply through our website as soon as possible.
