All pricing is in New Zealand Dollars and includes GST.

Payment options available are; term-by-term billing (paid one term in advance); or annually in advance.

As a private school, The Academy’s operating costs are covered by tuition fees. Our aim is for fees to be competitive while ensuring we deliver a world class education with exceptional specialist teachers.

Following the school’s opening in 2028, fees will be reviewed annually by The Academy’s Board of Directors.

Trial Learning Experience Fee

There is no cost associated with the pre-enrolment application to be placed on the waiting list. During the admissions process, the Trial Learning Experience fee of 460.00 is due once an applicant is invited to this stage of the application. This fee covers time and materials.

Enrolment deposit

An enrolment deposit of 1450.00 is required as confirmation of acceptance of any place offered. This payment offsets the first term’s tuition fees. This deposit is not-refundable.

Additional costs are charged for incidental items which include:

  • Uniforms
  • Photographs ordered by the student
  • Cambridge examination fees
  • School camp and overseas trip fees
  • Textbooks
  • Student laptops if ordered through the school

Payment Options

Direct Credit

When making payments online, please ensure that your child’s name appears in the "particulars" or "code" fields, and that you are using the correct account suffix. If you have more than one child at The Academy, please ensure fees are paid separately.
The account name is always "THE ACADEMY LIMITED".

School Fees Policy

Payment of School Accounts

All fees are due for payment upon receipt of the invoice. Parents will be required to withdraw students whose fees have not been paid prior to the current term.

Should the student be unable to attend school because of non-payment of fees, the School requires that you pay the outstanding balance plus the next subsequent term’s fees before the student can return to School.

If a student is unable to attend school at the beginning of term for any reason, the fees are nevertheless due. The Board cannot undertake to remit or refund fees, whether in lieu of notice or otherwise, on account of illness, quarantine, or any cause whatsoever.

Unpaid accounts will incur collection costs payable by the debtor and may be subject to an interest charge.

Notice of Withdrawal

A minimum of one term’s notice must be given in writing to the Principal to withdraw a student from the School or one term’s fees shall be paid in lieu of notice, calculated from the date notice is given. Where notice is being given of intended withdrawal for the next academic year, such notice must be received by the School by the end of Term 3. The dates and duration of each term shall be prescribed in the The Academy’s Academic Calendar, released no later than November of the year prior.

Nominated Fee Payer

In cases where the parent or guardian has nominated another person as the person responsible for the payment of fees, then that other person will be responsible in addition to and not in substitution for the parent or guardian. Only one invoice will be sent out per student.
